Book Review: Love Maeve Binchey

I love Maeve Binchey. I went to a book signing of hers years back and she impressed me so much, especially when she said that she wasn't there to sell books, but to meet the people who read what she writes. This book was wonderful-I read it flying from Boston to LA. It wasn't quite as good as her earlier books, but the fact that she brought back some of the beloved characters for her other stories made up for that. I really recommend it.Book Review: A great read

Maeve Binchy does it again! Just when the last novel knocked your socks off this new novel is better. I love how she incorporates past favorite characters from Evening Class, Scarlet Feather, Quentins etc with new characters in this book. She brings a modern look into the new Ireland. I couldn't put this down! It is enchanting and lively that follows the lives of these rich characters. She is one of my favorite authors.Book Review: Entertaining

This is a warm good feeling book about ordinary people with ordinary lives, joy, sorrow, struggle, hope and family, all that find the road into the reader's heart. The characters are ultimately interesting and the story quietly compelling. I recommend!
Others I enjoyed are THE GIRL WHO PLAYED WITH FIRE, LUCIA, LUCIA, SOMETHING BLUE and still I'm recommending EXPLOSION IN PARIS.

I truly enjoyed this book. It has a lot of characters and quite a few from a previous book or two. While it is fiction - it totally incorporates modern day social problems such as racism, class, health and a lot of family issues. I always feel like I'm having a cup of tea with a friend whenever I'm reading Ms. Binchy. She is down to earth and we're so lucky to have her work at hand.Book Review: Maeve, I love ya!

Many readers compare this to her other books. I have read each and every one of them. I love them all! I feel like I have gotten together with old friends. All of Maeve Binchy's books make me want to plop down on the couch, throw a blanket over my legs and have a cup of tea while I read a lovely book. I read to escape and go to a wonderful place and thats waht her books do for me.
