Book Review: This book gave me the best weight loss technique EVER!!

A little about me, I have been trying to lose a substantial amount of weight for over a year and a half now. Through exercise I was able to lose 15 pounds and go down a pants size, but I want to lose well over 50. One thing I had difficulty overcoming was my eating habits. This book gave me insight about weight loss and eating I never thought possible, and best of all, it was very simple.
I bought the book when it barely came out, being a huge Hawkins reader, (I have read all of his books and plan on attending a lecture in the future) and once again he taught me something new that I never realized before. I actually read the weight loss chapter first before any of the other ones, and it has helped me TREMENDOUSLY!! After doing the weight loss technique, which only took about roughly an hour and a half of work, I've lost an ADDITIONAL 20 pounds and have gone down another pants size! (And I'm still losing weight) The weight loss technique literally got rid of any addiction I had to food. But to be honest, there was a downside, I did feel slightly depressed afterward since I no longer had food as a way to "feel good".
But after that I've gotten to love food more than before! Best of all, I can do it without overeating. Now I eat way less and don't feel controlled by hunger. And this is just the chapter on weight loss! The rest of the book is just as insightful and powerful as his weight loss chapter, particularly his chapter on sexuality, which is almost poetic. He discusses all the illnesses he personally had to overcome, and through simple changes in his belief systems ("We are subject to what we hold in mind"), how he came to heal them. If you're new to Hawkins I recommend his first book so you have an idea of how he came to these realizations better, but if you have a serious illness (which is what this book is mainly about) or want to lose weight (in a simple way), this book will help you heal in ways you never thought possible...

Summary of Healing and Recovery
These holistic lectures were first presented to a variety of recovery organizations and clinicians from diverse backgrounds. The emphasis is on recovery in its fullest sense - mental, physical, psychological and spiritual. To "heal" means to make whole, in contrast to "treating" which is limited and short-sighted.The author draws from a diverse clinical background of over 50 years as a foremost leader in the field, as emphasized in greater detail in a series of over eight books on the subject of human consciousness itself, which is intimately intertwined with health, as well as behavior and the psychological underpinnings of human existence.
This companion to all the lectures is a compendium and dedication to the relief of human suffering in its various expressions. To truly heal is to "make whole" on all levels.
