Book Review: Common sense where it is usually lacking

Whether your child has had one ear infection or twelve, I recommend this book to any parent who is leary of taking the conventional path through rounds of antibiotics and the prospect of surgery to implant tubes or remove adenoids. In fact, I recommend that all new parents read this book in preparation for what the medical advice will be if their child does present with symptoms of an ear infection, what they can do to prevent this, and what natural remedies to have on hand in case it does.
This book also does a great job of explaining the difference between acute ear infections and chronic ones. You can identify the seriousness of your child's issues and start getting at the root cause. Surprisingly, most chronic ear infections can be traced back to food allergies. It all starts with the gut!
For a truly holistic perspective on how you as a parent can take charge of your child's total health, even beginning prior to conception, I highly recommend Healing Our Children: Because Your New Baby Matters!
