Hand and Glove
By Bob Genz
This volume `Hell' is the third in a trilogy of works, Hand and Glove, by Lord Bob Genz. The collection is the product of a fertile imagination and many years experience in the leather / sadomasochist lifestyle. The work is stated to be a fictitious fantasy but, I suspect, a story with more than a small element of reality, which makes it believable. Indeed, it would be surprising if the events described did not actually exist, in part, somewhere. We hope so.
Castle Enterprises comprises slave training operations conducted in several countries, with its headquarters at Buena Vista in USA. Each house or `Shield' conducts slave training and retraining and slave sales according to standard operating procedures, supervised by the Deus and Master Hunter at headquarters. Discipline is paramount, as evidenced in Hell when the leader of the London Shield is noted to be running a sloppy operation and, more importantly, is a drug addict. The operation is suspended and its stock sold. Sir Black, the boss of the London Shield, does not do well.
At Buena Vista, a seemingly innocuous lodge sits atop a vast collection of tunnels and caverns in which slaves are trained under unspeakably harsh conditions for a life of sexual and physical devotion. Overwhelmingly the story revolves around male slave training and torture but the occasional mention of female mistresses and slaves cater for all S&M tastes.
Male slaves are sold privately or at auction to worthy masters. In addition slaves are periodically milked for quality sperm, which is sold at high price. Slaves are classified according to their physical, sexual and sperm producing capabilities. Each slave is bar-coded, microchiped and recorded and their movements are closely monitored.
The three volumes describe the travels and fortunes of a slave. A former ruthless master, an Adonis in the gay - leather S&M scene, he secretly harboured desires to live a life of servitude, in particular to Master Hunter. As a slave at Buena Vista he is renamed 9-745, later Number One as he becomes Hunter's personal and most treasured slave. He suffers physical and sexual degradation and abuse, initially at the hands of the evil local Police, later at Buena Vista under Master Hunter and his army of slave handlers. He is stripped of worldly possessions, bound, collared, harnessed and tortured, dehumanised and stripped of all personal dignity, later to be recreated in the fashion of a Glove, to fit the Hand of Master Hunter.
Early on in his training, slave 9-745 refers to himself as `it' or `this slave' thus characterising the transformation from person to `thing'. Along the journey 9-745 learns his role as an inferior being, a sub-human thing to be bought and sold like any other commodity. He does not think. He becomes one of hundreds of slaves whose sole existence is for the pleasure of others.
Things were going well until 9-745 commited the ultimate sin, striking his master. Punishment is heaped upon him. There follows a long and painful period in the Pit, with accompanying beatings and torture.
Throughout the main story of 9-745 side plots detail the behaviour and treatment of other slaves, even senior officials at Buena Vista who later reveal their true desires to become slaves themselves and are treated accordingly. Thus builds a web of complex relationships based on past and present status, roles and the over-riding influence of Master Hunter, who determines everything. The complexity of the story line may persuade the reader to approach each volume in rapid sequence, lest he loose the plot.
Volume 3, Hell, actually devotes only a small space towards the end on Number One's final test of his worth, his descent into Hell. He is jumped and tied up by leather clad bikies, encased in the leather, bound and gagged, buried, resurrected and subject to a drug induced sexual Hell on Earth. At the same time Master Hunter undergoes brutal abuse which calls for Number One to put himself between Hunter and the abuser, which he willingly does. Number One's willingness to pass the test demonstrates his true value and devotion to Master Hunter.
Hell starts with what might best be described as a floating S&M orgy, on a yacht in the South Seas. This holiday by staff enables renovations to be carried out at Buena Vista, at the same time it enables Master Hunter to treat his loyal staff to a period of unfettered pleasure, thereby establishing their trust and enthusiasm for the future of operations back home. During this `nirvana' Number One establishes himself as the one true love of Master Hunter and although others touch on this relationship, none demonstrates the unyielding affection and service that it (he) heaps upon Hunter. As a final mark of this relationship, Number One is branded in what is the ultimate homo-erotic ceremony.
But the world of Castle Enterprises is not all smooth sailing. The Deus, one Lady Beatrice, has an accident and Master Hunter takes over control of the entire operation. Hunter demonstrates his capacity for ruthless control, becomes an absolute Master of slaves, handlers and those in charge of the Shields. He tolerates no nonsense from anyone and is respected for doing so.
The Halloween Run at Buena Vista illustrates Hunter's capacity for firm yet generous rule, Masters and Slaves from all over gather for the annual S&M leatherfest. Every taste is catered for and you will find it impossible to put the book down at this stage.
The Hand and Glove trilogy ranks alongside, no, way in front of, Anne Rice's hetero-erotic `Story of O'. Hand and Glove is a gay S&M journey and those with an inclination to this lifestyle will not fail to be impressed. Nothing is left to the imagination, every activity is explicitly described in full homo-erotic detail and only the terminally brain dead will fail to be moved by it. It is guaranteed to raise the heckles of the conservative bigots who would sanitize our bookshelves.
We look forward to more stories from Bob Genz; oops, Lord Bob Genz.
