Book Reviews of Guitar Fretboard WorkbookBook Review: A MUST for the beginner! Summary: 5 Stars
If you are a beginner, or are struggling to learn guitar, this book is a must! The wealth of knowledge attainable through the fretboard exercises, especially the learnng of chord roots will give you a solid foundation. I have seen suggestions for mastering the fretboard mentioned in other books, but not to this level of detail. Although the learning process may be slow since memorizing is required, a thorough knowledge of the fretboard is an invaluable and necessary tool for anyone who is serious about learning the guitar.
Book Review: Much more than what I expected! Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this because it was "suggested" by the "others who bought, also bought" feature on Amazon. WOW! I'm glad I did! From the first page I was navigating the fretboard in a 'new' way. A great supplement to any other fretboard techniques you might be using now. Quick paced instruction and self testing that I think would be relevant to any guitarist who still considers him/herself a student. I'm very glad I purchased this and feel my playing has improved substantially since I started studying this book.
Book Review: Fretboard Magik Summary: 5 Stars
This is one of the best books I've ever read for guitar. I have always had trouble finding my way around the fretbaord, but after working with this book I have no trouble at all. There are so many helpful tips and exercises that you can't help but become ultra fluent on guitar. And unlike most books, the material in this book is presented in a manner that is easy to understand. It's all connected perfectly, instead of YOU having to piece things together. I would recomend this book to anyone.
Book Review: 3-Tier technique shows innovation & attention to learner Summary: 5 Stars
Barret Tagliarino shows great wisdom in this 3-tiered method of storing information for necessary recall. Speaking, writing and touching really helped me to put the notes of guitar music together logically and quickly. I know I can now find any note on the fretboard, and, with a little consistent practice, will be able to do so "on the fly." As with any learning program, Tagliarino's will take time and practice, but if there is a better way to get the fingerboard down, I've never seen it.
Book Review: Best fretboard book Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this book about two years ago and went through all the exercises. I have a much better understanding of how to compose chords, how play arpeggios, and have gained much better understanding of scales. In essence, this book has been the foundation of music for me. I liked how the author presents the material and later I bought his "Chord-Tone Soloing" and "Music Theory" books. I am very analytical and found these books to be clear, practical, and very informative.
