Book Reviews of Guitar For Dummies

Book Review: Great resource for all levels
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a great product, no matter what skill level you are at. I have been playing guitar (very casually) for most of my life, and I have learned much from this book. Granted, it is a "Dummies" book, so there's lots of simple concepts covered, and the tone of the book is very laid-back. But if you don't want a stuffy, clinical, technical approach, this is the book to start you off. Bought one for me and one for my buddy who is just learning to play.

Book Review: Freakin Awesome!
Summary: 5 Stars

I love teaching myself things, and this is my first "for dummies" book... I like it more than candy... It tells you tips, and tricks, and answers practically all your questions. Oh, and it lets you jump right into playing songs if you want (instead of learning all the chords and scales and how to read music first). Yeah, it's better than the free candy from the dude who drives around the park in a black van.

Book Review: Great Book! Easy to read. Easy to learn!
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this book not knowing hardly anything about guitars and simply had a hand-me-down guitar and wanted to learn how to play. This book is awesome is that it details everything you need to know. Has all the basics you need. It was very easy to understand and very easy to read. The cd that it comes with is great to play along with. Highly recommended for any beginner.

Book Review: Great first guitar book
Summary: 5 Stars

I started learning to play the guitar and bought several guitar books (Rock Guitar for Dummies, several others) and found they assumed I had some level of knowledge. This book starts at square one and is designed to build a foundation to work from as your skills progress. I highly recommend it.

Book Review: My Dummy Book
Summary: 5 Stars

When I received the book it looked perfectly new and it's easy to understand (even if you call yourself a dummy). I was having a problem with learning how to fret the guitar but with the book I got the job done and I hope to learn more while I continue reading.
