Book Review: Very Satisfied with this Book and Series

I found this book very helpful in explaining the different types of India music or genres such as devotional music, folk music, and classical music. I really enjoyed learning the ragas in the classical music section and hope to use some of this information for a live setting to play with others some day. These books are easy to understand, discuss a lot of important history behind the country, India, as well as the history of the music. I feel these books are an easy way to get involved inn Ethnomusicology in a very inexpensive way that really allows you to see how closely related most music of the world is.
