This book cronicles the visit of a mother of a Peace Corps volunteer in Colombia. I thoroughly enjoyed this book as an opportunity to share someone's exploration of adjusting to different customs. The author captures the confusion and acceptance of learning about life in another country and the adaptation inherent in accepting other ways of doing things. As a former Peace Corps volunteer, I appreciate the perspective that Ms. Sanders gives the "culture shock" of visiting another country and adapting to new expectations.
