Book Review: Lots more than I expected
Summary: 5 Stars
Other reviews have mentioned some specifics this book covers, so I just wanted to add an overall note. I almost passed up because of the title--being chic is fine, but it's not a huge priority for me. But this book goes a lot deeper than one would expect. I would even venture to recommend it to men, too, because:
* It's entertainingly written--an effortless, often amusing read by a lively author. Topics and data are well-chosen, clearly explained and not intimidating.
* It covers great basic info and makes recommendations on how to go however green you want. She's realistic, not militant or condescending.
* It gives specific sources for the genres of products mentioned, unlike some other green books.
The "chic" focus and conversational writing helped me introduce the concept of green living to some friends who wouldn't have thought of going green. This as a great starter book.
