Book Review: Dollar for Dollar, the Most Help for Your Money

The Good CD Guide, simply, is the most helpful of the "Big" CD Guides out there. While I DO also consider it "too much" for the novice...the edgy, unknown composers are so numerous, that over half the book will probably not be used by the novice, and I find this a great waste, both of the purchaser's money, and also, of trees. (I have become very conscious these past few years on how much we waste...think newspapers! What gets wasted every Sunday alone....!)

So, with that said, I will also recommend as an alternative for the novice, perhaps the Rough Guide to Classical Music, or the NPR Guide as perhaps better geared for their needs. ~operabruin
