Because the Gorillaz are a cartoon band, it comes as no surprise that this book sometimes delves into fiction and myth quite often. What interested me, though, is how the author seamlessly blends reality and fiction together into a semi-coherant narrative. The book is set up in an interview format with the four main band members (and occasional interjections from people they are talking about). The book begins with the origin stories of Murdoc, 2D, Noodle, and Russel, and chronicles their rise to fame in the worldwide music scene.
A must read for any true Gorillaz fan.
