Book Reviews of Gordon Ramsay's Fast FoodBook Review: Fast Food Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great book with loads of recipes as featured in 'The F Word'. They are all easy to make and can be prepared and cooked in under 30 minutes, and the selected menu ideas can be put together in about 45 minutes. The recipes are easy to follow and are very clear, i've tried other book and got lost at times, but you get none of that with this book. The photography is great and really shows the food well. You occasionally get pictures of the food in it's pre and post cooked state so that you can see how it should look before and after and acts as a great guide. I've used this book (as well as Jamie Oliver's latest) to help me try some new recipes and to add some new ideas to my usual selection of meals I make on a routine basis. This is perfect for that goal, as each recipe is perfectly timed to get it prepared and cooked when i've got in from a busy day at work. The food tastes great as well, what more can you ask for? Well worth a try to expand your cooking skills and recipe knowledge.

Book Review: Simple and educational! Summary: 5 Stars
Gordon Ramsay's Fast Food is an excellent resource for novice cooks. There is a section that details what items should be a mainstay in your pantry so you don't need to run to the store every time you are going to cook a new dish. The recipes are simple, allowing the subtleties of the entree to peek through as opposed to being overwhelmed with various spices and competing flavors. The book outlines the steps to simultaneously prepare the entire meal, starter, entree, and desert, minimizing the time spent running around the kitchen like a lunatic. Several of the dishes are British and use a variety of fish that I am not particularly familiar with, but I've managed to just modify them for fish I find at my local seafood market. The book really helps you get down the basics, so you can begin to understand what flavors compliment each other, and begin experimenting on your own. My only complaint is that when you open the book, it does not yell at you, and explain that you are a knob, in a thick Scottish brogue. That aside, I love the book!
Book Review: This book makes it clear that there is no excuse for failing to prepare fast, fresh and delicious dinners at home. Summary: 5 Stars
I recently bought this book after having prepared recipes from Gordon Ramsay that I had tracked down online.
First, the book is gorgeous. The photos alone inspired me to drop what I was doing (the day the book arrived in the mail), choose a recipe (Beet, goat cheese and apple salad- it turned out divine) and go straight to the store to pick up the necessary ingredients.
All of the directions are clear and concise and the recipes are fairly uncomplicated lists of ingredients that combine to create dishes of tantalizing flavors and textures.
I'm making dinner using it again tonight!
Book Review: The title says it all Summary: 5 Stars
Although I enjoy cooking, it was always a weekend thing when I wasn't so tired and I had more time. This book has reawakened my love of cooking - every evening. The recipes are short and straightforward and there's no spurious fluff (like you'd find in Jamie Oliver's books). There's rarely a problem finding the ingredients and it doesn't take any great skill to follow the recipes. For simplicity and tastiness the pasta with pancetta and leeks has to be the best dish I've ever come across for an average work evening.
Highly recommended
