Book Reviews of Good Eats: The Early YearsBook Review: I absolutely love it. Summary: 5 Stars
The only food book you will ever need. It's not only informative, but entertaining and easy to read. This book has lots of good information in it, and isn't just another "recipe book." I love his style because he shows you how to
do things from start to finish, instead of just making a recipe. I have learned so much from Alton Brown that I
rarely use any of my other cook books. I can't wait for the next volume. If there were six star ratings, I would
give it six stars.
Book Review: Loved the book and have the waist line to prove it!! Summary: 5 Stars
The book was great loved it. Granted it's not put together like most cookbooks but if you are a fan of the show that should be no surprise. AB is AB and the book is put together in his style. Everything, I have tried from the book has come out great. The only Shrimp Cocktail sauce my mother-in-law will eat now is from this cookbook. I have had a lot of fun with the book and can't wait until the next one gets here in a week or so. Now I need go for a jog so I try more recipes.
Book Review: Phenomenal addition to the Alton Brown collection Summary: 5 Stars
While I enjoy and use the previous releases, this companion book to the TV program will bring hours of leisurely enjoyment. Great detail is added to each episode covered from the first six seasons of Good Eats. This includes additional historical notes about the food covered, show shooting details, revisions to the recipes, and great trivia and insights into the man Alton. Any fan of Good Eats and especially owners of the episodes will find this book terrific complement.
Book Review: Excellent Summary: 5 Stars
Just arrived, earlier than expected. This is an excellent book, and the best Good Eats book I've seen yet (and I have 'em all). High production value, slick and stylish design. The first 6 seasons are here, with every episode's recipes. No more internet/Food Network hunts. Trivia is fun, and Alton's tips and tidbits throughout are great. Looking forward to the next one. Seriously, this is a fantastic book, cookbook, and Good Eats schwag. Worth every penny. Go Alton, go!
Book Review: Alton Brown. Demigod of Cookery. Summary: 5 Stars
I love Alton Brown. Wait. Let me say that again. I LOVE ALTON BROWN. I love him so much that I'd call him Dad. The man is a darned rocket scientist. He makes mainstream food programs look like a Heckle and Jeckle short film.
I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone looking for more information of WHY we use specific ingredients or certain tools.
Alton Brown takes that dismal weeknight fare and elevates it to enjoyable (albeit tasty) Good Eats!
