Book Review: clear simple adaptable

This book is really easy to use. The ideas are clever and made for the single or couple. The recipes are not simply cut in half, such as very similar books do. They are tailored so that the are actually usable. With great ideas of meals to make with the leftovers that are significantly different from the original. So that it does not seem like you are eating the same dish over and over again for the entire week.Book Review: Love this book!

This is a great book - I could not be more pleased. I took it with me to a long drs. appt today and reviewed every single recipe. It just makes sense, and I so appreciate this guide to how I can make my own food everyday, have leftovers for lunch, and enjoy all of it. Thank you so much! All of the positive reviews are exactly right. This cookbook is fantastic: easy recipes, easy to find ingredients, food that tastes good, and excellent suggestions for how to put together a meal, use leftovers, store food, reduce waste.
I love it and just wanted to thank Jane Doerfer for her ideas. I now look forward to cooking for myself and trying out new ideas.

My spouse and I are empty nesters and I have been having a very difficult time cooking a meal that serves less than four, which means lots of leftovers -- or worse, wasted food. We are also trying to watch our weight these days, and with the recipes in this "cooking for one" book, we have created some delicious meals that we can easily split and enjoy together!Book Review: Just what I was looking for

Not only does the book have reasonable and tasty recipes, but it addresses shopping and storage issues that I've been dealing for quite some time. There are great suggestions on storage and leftovers. I highly recomment it and am buying a 2nd book for my girlfriend as a house warming gift.
