I loved this book when I was young and still do! It is bright and colorful and a great way to get children to read. A fantastic story about a race between dogs. The dogs use many methods of travel to try to win this imaginary race. One of a few books that is as appropriate for children of today as it was when I was growing up.

This is a wonderful book for teaching basic concepts to toddlers and pre-schoolers. Children have so much fun reading this book that they don't even realize that they are learning colors, numbers, opposites, and direction while listening to this story. Large, colorful pictures and a fun story line make this book an easy favorite.
Book Review: Perfect for Young Children Summary: 5 Stars
This book was my sons favorite for a long time- and his Dads too! He loves the pictures and the words. He couldn't sit through anything longer and the board form is the only kind he won't destroy. I am so glad they make this version for toddlers. I highly reccomend to parents with who like the short and sturdy books!
Book Review: One of Our Favorites Summary: 5 Stars
This was one of my favorite books as a young child, so I bought it even before my son was born. Now he loves it, too. ("Doggie" was his first word, so he quite enjoys "reading" it.) The board pages are perfect for little fingers and sturdy enough to withstand some teething.
