Ginger Pye is about a boy and a girl who want a dog. Jerry is the boy and Rachel is the girl. They are brother and sister. They had a three- year -old uncle named Uncle Bennie. Jerry saw a dog for sale at a barn. He tries to find a way to earn him for $1.He does. He bought him and named him Ginger. One day Ginger was left outside, he wanted to find Jerry so he was on a trail and it took him all the way to Jerry's school. Then a couple days later he survived in fire escape. So now Ginger was a famous puppy. After the day they got him they herd somebody following them. On thanksgiving day the Pyes were having dinner. Then after dinner Jerry went outside to see Ginger. GINGER WAS GONE. They began a search for Ginger. They found something suspicious. A yellow hat man. He kept following them even before Ginger disappeared. So Dick Badger found the hat and made a mark with a red crayon. Jerry saw Wally ( a boy from his class ) sitting in the grass and he saw him wearing a yellow hat with a RED CRAYON MARK. Then he knew Wally stole Ginger . They looked, and looked, and looked. Then one day they went out looking for Ginger and there was no luck. They came home and there HE WAS!!! He was with Uncle Bennie. Uncle Bennie saw him when he was out with his squeaky wagon. Now Uncle Bennie a three-year-old boy HERO.
