Book Review: Great reading!

After seeing the movie, it is good to read the book and get the REAL story. This doctor is amazing not because of his medical prowess necessarily, but as a human being and brother-in-Christ. What a loving man. And his mother - I wish my mother would have been more proactive in my life. She is a great human being, but a little push would have gone a long way. Dr. Carson and his brother have reaped the harvest of a loving, caring and spiritual home. Thank you for writing about your feelings in this book. Hope CrossBook Review: I highly recommend this book

I bought this book on sale as something to read while staying in a hotel on a weekend business trip. This book was soo inspirational that it encouraged me to continue my education. Then a couple of years later I gave the book to my 13 year old son and he actually stayed in his room all weekend reading the book. He also enjoyed the book. The story is uplifting and I would highly recommend that parents give this book to thier children to read. The book should actually be required reading for early teenagers.Book Review: My Hero

This book, Gifted Hands, is one of my favorite books. I read this book when I was in the 7th grade and then again when Im a junior/senior in highschool. No matter how many times I read this book, I always find something I can relate to. Being an African American myself, I also plan on going into the medical field. I will always have much respect for him. DOC BEN CARSON is the best there ever was!....Oh yea, one more thing, I would rate this book higher than 5 stars, but 5 is the highest I can give it...Book Review: inspirational and inspiring

The Ben Carson story was one of the best books I"ve read recently. Not only is it true but thd fact that they told about his life with all it's
flaws was sure different from al the other bio's.
I sure wish they would repeat the Story on T.V. again and again. Many viewers missed the episode and wish they had seen it. I shed tears during my reading of this story.
Why not show it on one of the major channels. I hope it will soon be on a DVD.

This has to be the best story that I read in recent times!! While it has been a few years since reading the pages, the story of Ben Carson is one that will stick in my head for a long time. His motivational way of bringing you into his life is phenomenal. And boy what a life!! I have to say that i felt an immediate bond with him, because I play classical music, and having done interviews in the medical field, I understand what an asset it can be! Way to go Dr. Carson!!
