Book Reviews of Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson StoryBook Review: Forget the Haters! You need to buy this Book! Summary: 5 Stars
As a young person who has expeienced a lot of crappy things in my life and who also grew up in poverty, I totally and absolutely applaude and admire this man. I read some of the negative reviews - my response to these individuals is simple : So what if the man acknowledges that he has done well in life and is blessed by God? He also acknowledges all the crap that he went through and did!
You must believe in yourself! Without this you may as well be non-existent! Now you tell me - who in their right mind would believe in a young impoverished black kid who pulls a knife on someone? Society expects kids like this to fail. And should they be able to scrape through life with little to no other criminal offences, society is pleasantly surprised. In other words the bar (if any is set at all) is very low for a kid like this. And yet the esteemed Dr. Ben Carson has gone on to live a life that is every bit worthy of all the praise that he has received.
Parents buy this for your children. Young people buy this for your friends. More mature folks buy this book and remember how to dream and dream big!
People - believe in yourself! And let the Gifted Hands of Dr. Carson inspire and motivate you!

Book Review: Greatness Defined Summary: 5 Stars
Greatness can be defined, not merely by what one has accomplished, but by what one had to overcome to accomplish it. Greatness can be defined as Ben Carson, the celebrated doctor who became head of pedriatic neurosurgery at prestigious Johns Hopkins University.
Carson's story is a riveting account of his unlikely path to success in the field of surgery. Overcoming inner-city indigence, poor grades, and the disadvantage of living in a single parent home, Carson gained international acclaim for his part in successfully separating Siamese twins joined to the head. This extremely delicate and painstaking procedure took months of planning and hard work. Carson had a major part in developing the surgical plan that made history.
Ben Carson's book, Gifted Hands, is about a man of ambition, compassion, and bravery, who sincerely believes in his work, and his life's purpose.
Dr. Carson is a graduate of Yale University and the University of Michigan Medical School.
