Westerners have long poked fun at the sound, having no idea of what it truly signifies. No matter what religion one comes from readers of Gayatri will expand their sense of God's power and grace feel inspired to seek a closer relationship, an inner-relationship. The quest for God may be pursued in a group but the experience is still intensely personal. This book reminds us we must take an active interest in our own illumination, if we would acheive it.
