I would look at some other guidebooks before purchasing this one. This book is more of a very broad overview of places to stay, and isn't detailed at all. We were in the state of oaxaca, and also we went to mexico city, and for each the book only had a few specific hotels/restaurants to stay in. If you are going to travel all over mexico and are not making an 'in depth' sort of vacation of it, this book is alright. However, if you want some more details about hotels and restaurants and things, try to find something else. I was disappointed with this book.
