Book Review: Ignore the people following this guy - he's no master

This is a guy who was told since he was a boy that he was more special than everybody else, that it was "prophesied" by this other guy who was high in the ranks of this organization of rich people looking for the next messiah, that he was that messiah. He was raised with every luxury, always told he was the only one born to enlighten the world. (They had told that to another kid just before him, but changed their minds.) Once it's time to take the reigns and start his mission, he decides he wants to go in the world alone on his mission, and breaks with the organization. In a supposed "great" act of spiritual mastery he gives up one of the mansions that was handed to him and goes to live on another luxurious property in California where followers continue to tell him how wonderful he is. All this and the guy hasn't even done anything yet. And in fact he never accomplishes much of anything except being convinced that he is more advanced than any other living being that has ever lived (as he proclaims on his death bed). You can see in the videos of his "discussions" with buddhist scholars his massive ego in action, showing constant frustration and annoyance with what he obviously sees as the puny insights of anyone who isn't him. You may think I'm exaggerating or have some mystifying axe to grind with this guy, let me tell you that I'm just telling you what I discovered when I first got interested in this guy. I wanted to know everything about this person who I thought would have some great insights to show me. But when I did the full research on this guy it became obvious that he's just a guy who had his perception warped by a powerful organization at a young age and never got over his own acceptance of the idea that he was some special messiah.
He sleeps with his best friend's wife for years and his followers make all sorts of excuses along the lines of "no person being owned by anybody else.." sort of the "free love" idea. I think the main reason a person like Eckhart Tolle is more popular than this guy ever was, though I'm not a "follower" of his or anyone else, is because Eckhart comes from a similar background as the rest of us and yet found his own form of personal enlightenment. Eckhart had the same pressures of life and school, family and relationships that we all have and so it makes people feel as though he has real experience and can show us a path that goes higher. Krishnamurti's writings are often muddled, and not applicable to anyone who can't sit rent free on a huge property looking at trees, having others taking care of him. He does say a few things that are interesting but even a frozen watch is right twice a day.
Let his own words on his death bed help you decide if what I'm saying is right - "I was telling them this morning -- for seventy years that super energy -- no -- that immense energy, immense intelligence has been using this body. I don't think people realize what tremendous energy and intelligence went through this body. And for seventy years -- was a pretty long time -- and now the body can't stand any more.
You won't find another body like this or that supreme intelligence operating in a body for many hundred years. You won't see it again. When he goes, it goes. There is no consciousness left behind of that consciousness, of that state. They'll all pretend or try to imagine they can get in touch with that. Perhaps they will somewhat if they live the teachings. But nobody has done it. Nobody. And so that's that."
So in his mind Buddha, Jesus Christ, Muhammad, Gandhi, and any other guru you can think of are all below the intelligence that flowed through him...
Call me nuts but I expect that when I find a real spiritual master, he will have humility and will understand the struggles that most human beings deal with. The gurus walk around with their begging bowls living off the fruits of those who toil in the world, and claim to be higher than us. This guy lived off the luxury provided by others and did more taking than giving. For that I give him an F in spiritual mastery. But always decide for yourself. Research it, see if you reach a different conclusion.
