"Forever in Blue" by Ann Brashares is a very wonderful book about growing up. Throughout this book many literary elements are used. To begin, Brashares describes the four young lady characters so well. The characters developed in my mind. As the reader, I had very good insight into the characters' lives. Ann Brashares also used many different points of view. Every chapter is from one of the four girls' perspectives. This novel is excellent because it keeps you interested with all the different points of view. Finally, Brashares uses out of this world symbolism. The four "sisters" in this novel use a pair of vintage-y jeans to keep them together when they are apart. Throughout this novel the girls are held together by these jeans. The jeans represent more than just being held together. This novel is definitely a page turner. The literary elements Brashares incorporates into the novel make it even better.
