Book Reviews of Fool Moon (The Dresden Files, Book 2)

Book Review: Even Better than the first book!
Summary: 5 Stars

Harry Dresden returns in this gripping fantasy thriller! This time Dresden must help the police to stop werewolf who is terrorizing Chicago with some gruesome murders.Once again our wizard gumshoe finds himself in a deadly squeeze play between cops, trigger-happy FBI agents, shape-shifting motorcycle gang members and his old enemy, the ruthless mobster john Marcone.Butcher is very good in throwing you tidbits of the earlier life of Harry and his plot twists are quite ingenious.I also loved the bloody action sequences as you watch as the werewolf decimates the chicago Police department and final and gripping showdown in Marcone's estate. But beware this novel is twice as violent as the first one.Once again he gives us some memorable characters who help or hinder Dresden in his case.Tera- the sexy and mysterious shapeshifter. Denton-sinister FBI agent and Susan-a reporter who falls for Harry. Bring on the next Dresden adventure!

Book Review: Excellent installment in the series!
Summary: 5 Stars

Butcher delivers again. This book, the second in the series featuring private investigator/wizard Harry Dresden, is more adult, more angsty and scarier than it's predecessor. It contains gore galore. but also features, as always, Dresden's dry and self-deprecating wit and down and out attitude. New characters are introduced, Tara West, who were not ever really sure if she's on the good or bad side; Billy and friends, young werewolves. (They show up later in Summer Knight, too.) And old characters, like Gentleman Johnny Marcone, return to harass Harry another day. There's also Dresden's girlfriend, Susan Rodriguez, who helps provide a little amour and comfort.(Very subtle, and steamy scene, there.)A taut and satisfying story, very suspenseful with good payoff. I look forward to the audio version being released (like Storm Front, also read by James Marsters), which I believe will be in August.

Book Review: I'ts official ,I like this series.

This is the second Harry Dresden book in the series of a wizard. I really like Harry he can really be tough when he has to be, but really caring and protective when his close friends and associates need his help. Karin Murphy of the police dept. has asked for his help in solving some very vicious and grusome crimes, which lead to the association of Tera and few locals of the werewolves of a couple of tribes. This book is a little harder to follow to keep all the people straight, but if you keep on reading and following the story he nicely bring everything to a nice closing. He can still show a lady a very exciting evening. I really want him to get together with Susan the local reporter they really make a nice couple, and I like Karin to, and I would like to see more of of Tera and the local werewolves. Now I have to read the next book in my collection of Harry Dresden.

Book Review: Phenomenal!

I first became interested in the Dresden Files books by getting hooked on the Dresden Files SciFi channel show. There are, of course, many differences between the show and the books, but both are very high excitement, high action, and heavy with the adrenaline-pumping adventure. This particular book starts quick with the action, and never stops until the last page, as Harry gets in over his head with loup-garous, wanna-be werewolves, and his always-rocky relationship with Lt. Murphy. The twists and turns with the introduction of the FBI agents are a little bit obvious, but everything else in the book rocks - and has made me a continued fan of everything Dresden. I'll be getting more of these books after the season finale of the show next week (sniff.). Pick this up if you are a fan of anything scifi/fantasy!

Book Review: NICELY DONE. I APPLAUD BUTCHER'S GENIUOS.
Summary: 5 Stars

This book is the 2nd book in the DRESDEN FILES. A wizard P.I. (who is the only wizard in the phone bookand needs money badly)Dresden gets a call from a paranormal homocide cop, who thinks she has a werewolf killer in her hands. Sounds simple. Not so. There are more than three different kinds in this book and all of them are suspect to the murder. There's a lady that likes Dresden and is a paranormal news reporter, a mob boss who wants Dreden on his payroll as a 'bodyguard' and a young fledgling wizard.

Dresden's ideas of how a lady should be treated made me smile and telling the story in the 1ST person made it all the better.(1ST: me, I and my)I hate it when a book jumps around from character to character. Reminds me of the VAMPIRE FILES by P. N. Elrod.
