I enjoyed the instructions in this book. First, a detailed explanation of how to complete each type of stroke is given. Then, the book has detailed information on how to paint many different types of flowers and arrangements. And finally,(this is the best part) it goes on to explain how to create original arrangements depending on the surface space the painter has to work with. Dewberry offers a wide variety of one-stroke flowers to paint using clear instructions. The real beauty using her painting method is the lack of "must do" instructions. Instead, the author gives clear directions on how to make nifty decorative flowers that are easily painted without patterns. A good read for the novice decorative painter like me.
