Book Reviews of Flashman at the ChargeBook Review: Spiffing Summary: 5 Stars
If you don't enjoy a chuckle when you read this you are not a man. Which brings me to point one: these books are not for women... The humor is completely unacceptable in modern, ``right on'' society, but I suspect GMF doesn't care much about that. These books are hilarious and GMF knows how to set up a gag better than anyone else. He is a brilliant researcher/historian and you will learn alot about Victorian history in the middle of a lot of naughty laughs.
Book Review: The best of a cracking series Summary: 5 Stars
Flashman at the Charge is possibly the best installment in an excellent series. Funny, historically informative and just a cracking good read. There is something about Macdonald Frasers writing about the Crimean War, the Charge of the Lights, Charge of the Heavies and the thin red line that makes you believe that this is how it really happened. Spine tingling stuff. All the major characters are so convincing.
Book Review: Anexcellent enthralling stroy Summary: 5 Stars
The flashman papers are a delight to discover and once found, You have to return. Simply because you want to see what the old scoundrel is going to do next and with whom. A great series to collect but be prepared to lose sleep so that you can finish them all.
Book Review: Read this book! Summary: 5 Stars
The great Flashman series is probably the funniest nad most entertaining series of history books ever written. Reading it is a brilliant history lesson, far better than any avaliable in a textbook. For all ages!
Book Review: Flashman, the series Summary: 5 Stars
ROFL, LMAO funny fiction in a semi-plausible historical settings. Defames many of the figures you yawned over in World History back in 9th grade. Flash is a real man's man. Read the books, preferably in order.
