Book Reviews of Flags of Our FathersBook Review: Flags of Our Fathers Summary: 5 Stars
A very compasonate literary work by an author
who has not only researched the important technical
military data, but has also brought forward the
intense personal and family parameters. A very
well written epic that those of us who have been in
combat can identify as factual and accurate.

Book Review: One of the best books I have ever read Summary: 5 Stars
To follow the lives of the men who raised that famous flag on Iwo Jima from youth to death is truly a fascinating story. As you read this tears will well up in your eyes as these men live through hell on earth. The eventual triumph of the battle isn't the end of the story. You learn how these men lived out the rest of their lives.
Book Review: Seven Stories Summary: 5 Stars
I thought the book did an outstanding job in telling seven stories in one book. The story of raising the flag, and the story of each of the men that raised the flag.
Even though the men did not feel to be heroes, I think each man that served in WWII were indeed heroes!
Great Book!

Book Review: A World War II buff's favorite book on the subject Summary: 5 Stars
For many years I've voraciously consumed anything on the subject of World War II that I could get my hands on. "Flags Of Our Fathers" is, hands down, my favorite. In telling the story of the battle for Iwo Jima, and the lives of the six men in the famous photograph, it perfectly balances hard fact with emotion.
Book Review: Amazing story, why would Eastwood do Letters? Summary: 5 Stars
Flags of our fathers is a great book. Well researched and pulls no punches as to what happened at Iwo Jima. My only question is that after reading Flags and the Ghost Solders, why would Mr Eastwood, do letters from Iwo Jima? The barbaric behavior of the Japanees makes their view point a non issue!
