Book Reviews of Flags of Our FathersBook Review: Required Reading! Summary: 5 Stars
This book is phenomenal, I could not put it down. If this book leaves you unmoved, you've got no feelings, heart or soul. It should be required reading for every high school senior about to go off to college to be brainwashed by the secular progressives who hate America and all it stands for and like to rewrite history with America as the guilty agressor for dropping the bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. May God bless those souls who experienced the decimating battle of Iwo Jima.
Book Review: Heroes of Iwo Jima Summary: 5 Stars
Flags of Our Fathers is a excellent book on the war at Iwo Jima. Not only does the author take you inside the war, but the lives of the flag raisers. The affect the war had on the soldiers makes you realize how horrible it was to take part in one of the most famous battles of all time. The movie "Flags of Our Fathers" is also excellent. The DVD "Heroes of Iwo Jima" with Gene Hackman has interviews with James Bradley and is a parallel to the movie and book. Well done.
Book Review: Excellent Book - I couldn't put it down Summary: 5 Stars
James Bradley did a wonderful job capturing the minds of his readers in a number of ways. The story of Iwo Jima and the flag raisers all by itself is captivating. But the fact that James learned most of the details of his father's experience after he passed away was even more intersting to me. It made me stop and think about my own father and his father and the experiences they had that we haven't discussed.
Great Book! Get it you won't regret it.
Book Review: Outstanding Summary: 5 Stars
James Bradley just did a fantastic job with this book. The anniversary is upcoming...February 19. I pray for those who died as well as those who have survived and are still with us. My grandfather is one and his memoir is now out Walking Through Fire, An Iwo Jima Survivor's Remembrance
Book Review: 6 people. 1 flag, 1 photo. Summary: 5 Stars
James Bradley writes an amazing tribute to his father in this book about the "photo."
The book follows the lives of 6 men from birth until death. Each one of them is unique and has their own story. They all have something in common, and that is that they were all in the photo.
This is NOT a war book, it is a biography of 6 men. A great book!
