Customer Review: Excellent and completely wearable designs

Just got this book yesterday and I was very impressed. She might have "toned it down" as stated in the earlier review, but the designs are completely wearable and constructed in the practical scientific approach that Japel is known for. The garments are easy to tailor to your own specific needs, and it's nice to be able to make a sweater that won't look like a burlap sack but will actually have shape to it. If you've resigned to only make sweaters that have side shaping, so as to look more flattering... this is definitely a book you would like. The yarns used are usually Cascade and easy to find without breaking your budget, and most are worsted or bulky weight with minimal seaming.
Usually when I have a new knitting book or magazine there are only a few designs I would actually consider making, but this is the first book where every page I turned I could totally see myself wearing what was designed. A goldmine of basic designs, can't wait for a knitalong to start!
