Book Reviews of Fit for LifeBook Review: how do we ask questions to Mr. Diamond Summary: 5 Stars
since the time i read Fit for Life, I have been able to to put it into practice. But of course i do no follow it as a rule. The absence of meat and milk does not agree with my lifestyle and i have noticed instant hairfall and nail chipping when i remove these from my diet. Also it is not practical for me to obtain fresh juice for myself all the time and thus land up drinking the concentrated fresh juice which is sugar free. I have lost about 10 pounds by following the book at random for the past 2 months. But I do follow the "only fruits and juice until noon" theory. I am also excersicing moderately and it has worked for me. I would like to E-mail Mr. Harvey with so many queries. can u guide me? I would like to know if what i follow is valid. Whom can i ask questions regarding various foods not mentioned in the book. Also i want to know if the pace of weight loss is slow or normal. Will amazon help me or pls enlighten me with Mr. Diamonds e-mail address.
Book Review: saved my health Summary: 5 Stars
I was desperate at 350 lbs. I was so toxic that I was constantly bloated and had horrible dermatitis on my face, I had a rapid heart beat when resting and I was only 23. My husband was hypoglycemic and suffered from chronic fatigue. I was sceptical but figured I had nothing to lose. The first day was amazing I ate fruit till noon and felt awesome, we had veggie sandwiches for lunch and a salad for dinner and for the first time in my life I was satisfied and did not feel deprived! Within one week my dermatitis was completely gone and now 4 months later I have not had a single outbreak, I no longer suffer form bloating and my heart rate is normal and healthy, my husbands health problems are also gone, we feel like 2 totally different people. I work out 20 min per day and love it! I have lost 5 dress sizes and close to 60 lbs! I am amazed. Thank you for sharing this information so that I may be healthy and enjoy my daughter! I recommend this book to everyone.
Book Review: Interesting and awakening! Summary: 5 Stars
After having injured my both feet and one knee in the summer of -99 I decided that I had to do something about my overweigt. So I borrowed "Fit for life" from a friend. Having read the book, I must say "Well done!" I like it, because it was fresh and to the point. The best part of the book was that it let the reader understand that it wasn't a diet - but a change of living with the right kind of food in combination with exercise that would make a change in your weight. 1 + 1 is 2, right? Just the thougt of eating fruits for breakfast (in the amount YOU want) made me delirious. The books content really woke me up, thinking that I should eat more fruits and vegetables, instead of meat and potatoes in "a sort of" dangerous mix. I was so happy to find out that there is a better way of life. The recepies also seems good and easy to do. I'm defitely going by the "Fit for life" method.Sari Hänninen
Book Review: I lost 60 pounds Summary: 5 Stars
Fantastic book. I started it on a recommendation from someone else, and lost two pounds the first week, and three the next, and . . . More than sixty pounds total, in just over three months, to get me to my goal weight and -- aside from one serious lapse where I didn't follow the program at all for several months -- then keep me there. And I felt wonderful the whole time, and was never -- and I mean absolutely never -- hungry when I finished eating or while running around all day, and I didn't and still don't limit portions. The food is good, the program makes sense, and I recommend it without reservation. Do I lapse occasionally? Yeah, unfortunately. If I didn't have an eating problem, I wouldn't have been sixty pounds overweight to begin with. Does the program make it possible to stay at my target weight in spite of occasional lapses? Yes. And (from the one time I REALLY fell off the wagon) to get back to it easily and painlessly.
Book Review: It's All Starting To Make Sense Now!! Summary: 5 Stars
For the past seven years, I've been trying to find that "magic" book that would just jump from off of the shelf and turn my life upside down. "Fit for Life" runs a close second to the Bible as far as I'm concerned. Now I know why I feel so lethargic after eating "improperly combined" meals. I now know why my body gets thrown out of wack sometimes...it not only had to do with what I was eating, but also when and how I was eating it. "Fit for Life" has made me a firm believer in eating only fresh fruits and drinking fruit juices between the hours of 7am-12 noon. I simply cannot stomach eating anything that does not apply to the 70/30 principle outlined in the book. Sure, I was skeptical at first, but mark this: for all of you nonbelievers out there, you have to give this lifestyle change a once over...give it a chance!! You'll thank yourself in the long run --- TRUST ME!!
