Book Review: The best health book out there
Summary: 5 Stars

It's a bit old... and sometimes it comes across very 70's-ish...
But there is NO other book out there as good as this one.
Start with the premise that your current, modern eating habits are the primary problem with your weight.
Therefore, living a healthier lifestyle will let you lead a better, healthier life AND you'll loose weight at the same time.
All this written in an easy to read format.

Okay, let's cut through all the BS here! If you're like most, you've read several other weight loss books. And you've probably gotten mixed information! Aktins says to eliminate carbs and eat meat. The next says it's okay to mix, so long as you do so proportionally to the energy value calculated per gram of blahblahblah.

THIS book does the ONE thing you want a health and nutrition book to do: MAKE COMMON SENSE! There's no higher recommendation I can give it beyond the fact that, when you read it, you nod your head and think "yeah. That makes sense!"

Book Review: This is my favourite book! =)

This is the best book I ever read and I have been living the "fit for life" way for a long time! I used to have allergies, stomach cramps (esp. after eating protein and carbohydrates in one meal), backpain (read Dr. N. Walkers "Colon Health") and other problems...! Now I have so much energy, a slim body...I just feel sooo great! I was a vegan before I read this book the first time and I was NOT living very healthy (yes, french fries are vegan...ha)! I don't think it is as hard to follow as some people might think...just try little by little and have a cookie if you really feel like it every once in a while! (I bet you HAVE the willpower if you try!!!) They don't want you to give up meat, milk etc. overnight...they just want you to know everything about it! =) Oh, and if you have the time to read some more - get "Fit for life II" and some books by Walker, Shelton...and others listed in the back of the book! It might help you break the one or other habit to know everything you can know about it!

Book Review: The theory sounds right

The theory that one should eat seventy- percent of water-rich foods, that one should eat only fruit and fruit juice from the time one wakes to twelve at noon, that one should not 'combine processed foods of different kinds, not combine proteins with carbohydrates, but eat one protein dish or one carbohydrate dish separately, that one should not eat either a big breakfast or very late at night, that one should concentrate one's eating between twelve noon and eight , and that one should understand that water- rich fresh fruit is the healthiest food in the world, and the one 'Early Man ' subsisted on- all this sounds sensible enough. The fact that this book and diet have sold millions is also a kind of argument for it, though many diets which have long since been junked have sold millions.
I think that we will try this, and perhaps report the results.
And this as I wonder how long I will be able to resist the great combos made with my favorite, most delicious, most basic food, good old staff of life, bread.

Book Review: A Book that Changed my Entire Life

Fit for Life I would personally like it to be known that I am not a book reader by any means. In fact the only books I have ever read were that of the funny pages in the newspaper. Now I have been trying to loose weight and feel better about myself for over 2 years. I have tried almost every weight loss plan out there, and stuck to them but they never did as they promised. Then a girlfriend of mine lent me this book and I was shocked at what I read and how much sense it all made to me. I started to do the simple things it taught me within 2 days of reading it and by the end of the first week I had lost over 6 pounds!!! Not only did I loose weight but FELT SO MUCH BETTER ABOUT MYSELF!!! I have stuck to this book and read it over and over every day at lunch and on my work breaks and and am continuing to feel better and keep loosing unwanted weight! A very Powerful Book, and full of so much knowledge! I am so Thankful to Harvey and Marilyn Diamond for their Beautiful Contribution to society an

im only 3\4 through is book,all of the information provided makes complete sense..we are more genetically designed to eat fruits and veges than we are to rip into an animal .there seems to me to be great logic in this theory.this book delivers very good sound info ,and very well backed up in research..if you go for a period of eating no red meat then dive into nice juicy steak,im not saying it doesnt taste great,however,the next day when you goto releive yourself it really doesnt smell to good.this is in fact,rotting meat just sitting there poisoning our systems.SOCIETY has proved time and time again that it has the power to make us beleive what it wants us too.the aquisitions,witch hunts ,RELIGION,sexuality,to name a few.all of these were beleifs that were instilled at birth by parents who in turn were told by society what is RIGHT+WRONG. it does therefore make sense that our eating habits instilled in us could very well be wrong for us .really consider the info in this book....
