Book Reviews of Fit for Life llBook Review: Fit for Life Summary: 4 Stars
Exactly what I expected and the programme is very effective. Although the first few days were a little difficult, I have found the changes to my body shape profound. Fluid retention down about 80%, weight loss to date (2 weeks) is around 12lbs, no more cravings or hunger pangs and I feel very healthy. This is an effective way of eating pure, wholesome, fresh food and wakes you up to the defunct nutritional crap we shove down our throats every day. I hope I can continue to make it work for me over the coming weeks, one day at a time! Well worth the purchase.
Book Review: This book is filled with lots of sound information. Summary: 4 Stars
I read the book when it first came out. Then, I had a hard time adhering to the principles set forth. Time and experience have brought me back full circle. When I started reading this book again I was amazed at how much I had grown and how the principles seemed do-able and the recipes sounded delicious. I am still struggling with food combinations. At the moment I am hoping to find somene out there who can help me out with questions I still have about the book.
Book Review: Fit for Life not Fat for Life Summary: 4 Stars
i enjoyed this book very much and found it very easy to read, as the print was a little bigger than usual. also it seemed to explain the diet better.
Book Review: A good follow up to fit for life but not as good. Summary: 3 Stars
I began the fit for life series with this book and much of what it said I grew very excited about and purchased the fit for life and the princibles in that book changed my life. This book however covers the basic priciples in fit for life and then moves on to introduce other priciples to better our health over-all. Alot of these aren't always easy to implement. Like sleeping with an open window, great if your in California and a chilly night only requires an extra blanket in much colder climates I don't beleive waking with ice on your walls overly healthy, as happens to me! I also have a problem with no soap or toothpaste, maybe being clean within helps but we live in a polluted environment. The book can be very interesting though and I'm sure there are those who may benefit in it's message. The explanations of additives I found facinating. There are also recipes included in this book which are good. Just not as good as the first in my opinion.
Book Review: Useful introduction to hygienic eating principles Summary: 3 Stars
I read the first "Fit for Life" book when it first came out and benefited from it. I would recommend the book. But I found it completely impossible to stick with the program for more than a few months. My wife goes back to it more than I do, and she looks great...and weighs a lot less than me. So for some people, it works, for others it doesn't. I don't regret trying it out, and do go back to using the principles of diet when I am feeling particularly strong willed or so sick I have no choice! The one big disagreement I have with it is that I do not think vitamin supplements are always bad for you, as they assert. I think taking too many may have the negative effect they suggest, but that more often than not they are helpful rather than harmful. Again, I don't regret taking a few months to see how I felt on their program, though.
