Book Reviews of Fit for Life llBook Review: The best mass-marketed health book ever written Summary: 5 Stars
Please don't let mainstream detractors who are steeped in the ways of medicine and other failure-ridden institutions dissuade you from reading this life-saving book. It was written from the standpoint of common sense and self-evident truths, which naturally does not always align with the effluvia that is forthcoming from what passes for "science" these days, since the latter is hopelessly corrupted by commercial and other financial interests. The answers lie in our deep and ancient history as living creatures on this planet. It simply has to be true that nature set it up for living beings to be able to heal from disease and injury on their own, as long as the cause of said disease or injury is removed. Therefore, removal of cause is the only way to true healing. This blatantly obvious fact is not acknowledged by medicine and is, in fact, venomously opposed by that quarter for the simple reason that if everyone accepted it, medicine would no longer exist. Harvey Diamond will tell you how to remove the causes of your physical ills. He's done all the footwork for you, all you need to do is learn from him and put what you learn into practice. The sooner you do, the sooner you will start enjoying your life again. I've been following his principles for almost 5 years and I have reached a level of health and vitality I never imagined possible (for more info please visit www.RawSchool.com).
Book Review: Fit for Life Summary: 5 Stars
Fit for Life has enlightened me to health problems I endured during my teenage years. The main problem being MILK. Chronic skin problems, sinus problems and alergies, I believe were all attributable to milk. I have stopped drinking milk and have drastically reduced the intake of milk for my family. In the long term I believe this will have enormous health benefits for them all. The logical and clearly described myths by which the remainder of the Western world lives in regard to food, as described in Fit for Life has the biggest impact of all the information in the book. The analogy I liken the presentation of this information to is the idiocy with which Mankind is currently managing pollution. The Car is the number one polluter but like Milk and red Meat the problem is too difficult to deal, with so we continue believing all is in order as we head down the well walked path to the ruination of the Western Society. The simpliest solution is always the best. The Diamonds propose the simpliest solution that has no risk and only upside. I would like to personnally thank the Diamonds for there work and I believe the study of Natural Hygene should be actively promoted by all Medical schools and the stupidity that is taught today to doctors about the 4 basic food types irradicated from their learning.
Book Review: A great HEALTH book, not a diet book Summary: 5 Stars
If you want to know the TRUTH about health, food, nutrition, and the food giants, read this book. I was born with poor health and have suffered with it all of my 42 years of life. Or I should say, until I started living by the basic principles of "Living Health" several months ago. I have tried diets, doctors, and just about everything else one can imagine, and nothing did anything, but make things worse. The principles of "Living Health" in combination with another great book, "Eat Right 4 Your Type", have changed my life. After experimenting a little with the two books, I have lost 25 pounds in 3 weeks, my eyesight is clearing up, my joints feel 10 times better, my acne is 90% gone, and I feel almost as strong as I did when I was 18! I will add that I eat a small amount of meat (fish, chicken, and liver), lots of fresh, including raw, veggies (especially Kale, Broccoli,Celery, and lettace), and fruit for breakfast. These changes weren't easy for a "Southerner", but I feel great, and finally have good health due mostly to this wonderful book. Thank you to the Diamonds.
Book Review: Detractors haven't tried it. Fruit's Not a Fad. Summary: 5 Stars
The negative reviews seem to be all the same and don't seem to have tried it and maybe even haven't read it. There's nothing unhealthy about eating fruit in the morning. Eating anything you want after noon is hardly a fad diet. The book just suggests eating things separately like a big steak and greens rather than adding a bunch of fillers like potatoes. It suggests eating all the starches you want but just not with the steak as it complicates the digestion process. I like to eat that way anyway. Give me more meat and less potatoes any day! The book suggests exercise. That's not a fad. It's just common sense. The book suggests not drinking coffee. If you eat fruit, you can really pound the coffee and still come out feeling good. I like Fast Food Friday's more than most but eating more sensibly is nothing but a positive. If you are a runner or some other athlete and have plateaued, you should consider their suggestions. You won't hit the wall so easy if you eat the fruit.
Book Review: I tried the diet and loved it. Summary: 5 Stars
I borrowed the fit for life book from a friend and although I did not follow their particular diet I followed the principle. It does work. I also told a friend about it and told her to try it for 1 week to see if it would work for her and she was convinced. I also exercised everyday which is a big aid in losing weight. Although I have been off of it for a while I plan to start following it again. I still ate all my favorite foods but was careful as to what to put together and at what time of day. If I wanted something sweet then I would eat something sweet but only in moderation. All diets do not work for everyone but this one worked for me. I still say do whatever works for that individual. But regardless of what you do please do some form of exercise.
