Book Review: An eye opener

Could be controversial - Just the kind of realist the world needs. He asks you to go beyond authority, belief or path and into reality; the present moment. You have to be ready to let go of what he calls second hand opinions when reading this book, because he completely shreds some misleading teachings, and much of the confusion which surrounds spiritual awakening. His basic message is this - Have you found what you are looking for? If not, are you willing to merely follow someone else's philosophy for the rest of your life?
It's either philosophy or reality, that's the basic theme of this book, and he's a hardcase when it comes to that! I found it to be uplifting, insightful, inspiring, very useful and funny but it might hit close to your spiritual nerves. Read it if you you really do want spiritual awakening and are sick of being led astray by others.

Enlightenment, awakening, pure awareness or the peace of God - What do you call this mysterious state of mind so many people throughout the world now seek for? In this hard hitting book, the author Keith Loy refers to the spiritually awakened mind as being the true Natural State of humanity. As an extremely devout spiritual seeker for over ten years, he draws deeply from his own life experience as he highlights many of the beliefs, teachings and distractions which once polluted his awakening to Spiritual Reality. With a lot of humour he delves deeply (almost psychologically) into the mindset of the average spiritual seeker, uncovering many reasons why they remain as seekers and not `Finders'.He has written this book in a simple and common language, for any beginner or long term seeker, who is seriously interested and finally ready, to allow an awakening to what he simply calls Reality (with a capital `R'). The author does not adhere or conform to any particular philosophy (including prevailing teachings of `do nothing' and 'non duality'). He tries to move the reader beyond all philosophies and belief systems to discuss awakening in its most simplistic, unadorned and non-confusing terms.
