Financial planning for purchasng a team, financial management, various revenue sources, licensing, box-office operations, and fund-raising--it's all here in this comprehensive, authoritative handbook on purchasing and operating a sport enterprise. Professor of Physical Education, Recreation and Sport Management is only one of Sawyer's credentials. Michal Hypes and Ann Hypes also hold university-level positions in sport management and have much other experience in this area besides. Guidance covers "The Foundations of Sports Finance" and steps of purchasing a team through creating a base of loyal fans for financial stability and fund-raising using volunteers and members of a boosters' club.
