Love the book. I read it in order to help make a decision about whether or not to host his program at church. We're hosting it this fall. Great, simple ideas about how to reduce spending and become debt free. It's perfect for those entering college to avoid the credit card crisis. It's great for the newly working or new college graduates to start right off the bat with good habits. We're 15 years from retirement and are using it as a prep to figure out how we can live well with a retirement income.Book Review: Good advice, Easy to read

This book deals with getting out of debt (and staying out), building wealth, and being at peace with your money & finances. It contains good personal financial advice that I plan to put into practice. It is also easy to read, since it is written in an informal style. The content is something that applies to all adults (and even teens). The book includes sample letters & forms to help with taking control & planning your spending, with collection agents, and with credit report problems.Book Review: Wow, what a breath of fresh air!

This is "common sense" for your "dollar and cents" as Dave says on his radio program. Dave Ramsey has the ability to explain personal finance in a way that the average person can understand. This is "Personal Finance 101" but it isn't simplistic, but it is simple. Very good book for getting started especially. The Dave Ramsey web site also has lot's of more information useful to people who want to beat debt and buidl wealth the Dave Ramsey way ([website]). This book was everything I thought it would be. It was delivered in great condition and exactly as described which this buyer really appreciates. It was also new as stated, sometimes I have bought from buyers who said the product was new but the book would be all marked up from a previous owner. Not cool!! I am a teacher making $34,000 a year with a wife and three kids. I did not believe the reviews on this book until I bought it and started doing the very simple easy things he suggest...I was averaging $300-$400 in my checking account and about $1000 in my savings account at the end of each month....After 10 months, I now have over $5,000 in Checking and almost $6,000 in savings...The reviews out there that say it doesn't work, probably haven't actually tried it.
