Book Review: Finally, Final Cut made easy

Very quickly, this book is easy to follow via the lesson plans and samples provided with the accompanying cd. Theres a lot of info out there in FCE and most of it valid but if you want a start to finish structured tutorial, this is it.I'm only a beginner as such and Tom makes learning the art of editing on this program a cinch. Now I am in no position to say this is the most comprehensive book that will offer everything FCE can do but it certainly gives the beginner and intermediate a good ramp up to it.Book Review: Best FCE Series Out There

I bought Tom's earlier book on FCE 2, and it was the best purchase I've ever made for any of the software I use. Tom writes like an editor and an artist. He writes in a manner creative people can understand. Practical and to the point. I have been in the broadcast production industry for 28 years and I can tell you Tom is the real thing. If this book doesn't help you then you should find another hobby.
P.S. Ignore the idiotic one star rating. The book is in English.

I have had trouble for years trying to get the help I needed to learn Final Cut Express. Until Tom's book, there really has been nothing available that led you through the stages of the process using Final Cut Express software. Tom teaches from his wealth of professional experience on the subject of movie production in both production and teaching this complex subject. In my opinion, if you want to learn Final Cut Express 4, you need this book.Book Review: Great way to learn FCE

I plowed through the book in order of the lessons & I can't imagine having learned FCE any other way. While learning, I produced 2 new TV commercials for a local New Orleans gardening & gift shop, & I'm ready for more. The veteran video guys at the tv stations couldn't believe we did the spots in the attic of the store on an iMac. I couldn't have done them in iMovie--and I couldn't have done them so quickly without this book.Book Review: This book rocks, you will learn with a little patience

Final Cut Express 4 editing workshop is one of the best tutorial books I have found to self teach myself FCE4. The price is right and the author knows his stuff. The learning process get frustrating at times but this is the real thing in video editing and people pay big bucks to go to school for this. Apple wants a grand a week for these classes, I think I'll pass!! You can't go wrong with "Tom Wolsky's book!"
