Book Review: Must Have for Your Football Collection

I started to write this was for Favre fans, but truly it is for all sports fans. Any NFL fan knows about the Great Brett Favre, but this book and CD contains many facts of his life that you may not know. The CD is wonderful because people from his life, such as the man who recruited him to Soutern Miss, tell what they saw in him and how he progressed. You will find it amazing how he almost went no where, and then what fellow Green Bay Packer greats have to say about him. The book catches the Ironman, the common man, and the man who just cannot quit. I think it helps in understanding his love for Green Bay and the loss that must have been to leave there as a persona non grata.
If you don't love Favre after you read this, you will most certainly respect him. A must for any football fan, and especially for Favre fans from Wisconsin, Minnesota, New York and all across the globe.
Summary of Favre: The Man, the Legend with CD
Brett Favre arrived in Green Bay in 1992 with a name many Green Bay Packers fans couldn't pronounce; he retired after the 2007 season with a name most Packers fans will never forget. Few players in NFL history have played the game with the dedication, passion, and little-boy enthusiasm that the strong-armed, free-spirited gunslinger from Kiln, Mississippi, demonstrated on the field, winning not only the love of the fans, but the respect and admiration of his peers. In his 16 years under center in Green Bay, he won an unprecedented three consecutive Most Valuable Player awards, led the Packers to victory in Super Bowl XXXI, and guided the team to 13 winning seasons. Incredibly tough and durable, he started in a record 275 consecutive games, including the postseason. He also broke every significant National Football League career passing mark, including touchdown passes (442), yards (61,655), and victories by a quarterback (160). Along the way, Favre went from hero to icon and from icon to legend.Favre: The Man. The Legend. traces his humble beginnings in rural southern Mississippi, where he played high school football for his father, and follows his career at Southern Mississippi, his tumultuous rookie year with the Atlanta Falcons, and the trade that brought him to Green Bay.
