Book Review: essential for the frazetta fan

I held off on buying this because of the reviews here, which were pretty negative; this weekend though I found the book at Midtown Comics in NYC (near Penn Station)and so looked at it - and bought it. This is essential for any frazetta fan - it has a lot of drawings and covers you won't find elsewhere and gives a great overview of his career. It is true it is not like the other art books - it has the feel of a reference book because it lists all the places he's published, but on almost every page are large copies of covers and drawings that I've never seen before. I haven't looked at the lists, but they may be interesting at some point; the introduction is a good intro to his career. If you are just looking for his art, then I'd suggest one of the large art books but if you classify yourself as a fan, then i'd highly recommend this. BTW I got the softcover which is exactly the same inside as the hardcover.
