Dr. Ian's book, "Extreme Fat Smash," was very easy to read and understand...there was not alot of technical jargon. The diet was easy to follow and there is a variety of creative recipes once you get to maintenance. As with any diet, following the Extreme Fat Smash Diet, takes alot of discipline as your food choices are limited for the first three phases. However I did lose 6 pounds the first week and by the end of the third phase, 10 pounds. I was not perfect but I did however, become more conscience of what I was eating. I would recommend this plan to anyone wanting to lose weight.

Dr. Ian second wiehgt loss book is better than the first if you want to see results quicker. The ttile says it all EXTREME Fat Smash if you can stick with it you will definitely see results. I shared this with a friend and she followed it to a tee and she lost 8 pounds in the first 2 weeks. You must change you eating habits and work out otherwise you may not be as successful. Book Review: Nothing else has worked, this diet is excellent! Summary: 5 Stars
When I first read the diet, I was skeptical. It seemed that there was not enough food and I would be hungry, but I gave it a try. The first day was a little hard, the second day a little easier, by the third day I couldn't beleieve it, I wasn't hungry anymore! I am currently on day 5 and have lost 6 pounds. I am a middle aged woman with 3 children and have tried every other diet (which cost me a lot of money) This is the cheapest, easiest, fastest and most effective diet I have ever been on. This book has been a blessing and I would recommend it to anyone.

Ok so I have gone through every diet there is and this one is the best so far!! I was shocked that it would actually work however I did read the entire book before I stated which is such an easy read to get all the facts. It seemed simple enough.... easy recipes, snacks, and a straight forward excercise plan. I am on day 5 and even though dr. ian said not to weigh your self everyday, only once a week according to the book. I sneaked today and weighed myself and I have already lost 6 lbs. WOW!! I am shocked but happy I cant wait till the end of cycle one.

This book was incredible! It was the first time I had ever bought a diet book before, and I was a little skeptical at first, but once I started the diet I couldn't have been more pleased with the results. The food gets a little monotonous (lots of veggies, rice and beans), but with a little imagination, you can make it taste great every time, and I never got hungry. I would absolutely reccommend this diet to any and everyone!! I lost 11.5 pounds in 3 weeks, and I truly believe that if they follow this diet, it can work for anybody.
