Book Reviews of Extreme Fat Smash DietBook Review: Great idea for weight loss and changing your mindset. Summary: 5 Stars
This book is great, not only did I lose the 12 pounds in 3 weeks that he said I could, but I was able to gain a new mindset. Even after you complete your 3 weeks and lost you're weight, just by doing the diet you're prepared to eat foods that aren't on the diet. I think that if you are not only ready to lose weight, but gain a new outlook on eating, then this is a great book. I highly reccomend it for anyone. I didn't even exercise and I lost the 12 lbs. I'm not encouraging that, I'm just saying that's how good this book is.
Another great thing about it is that most diet books what you to get all these foods to do the diet, this diet works with food that most people have. Rice, meat, veggies and fruit.
Good luck!
Book Review: Excellent diet book - it works! Summary: 5 Stars
I have a collection of diet books - and most just didn't work for me. This is the first one that actually worked! Its easy to understand and it lays out each day's meals and exercise requirements, and its the type of food I'd eat normally anyway with just a few modifications. When I received this book in the mail, I made the commitment, looked over the diet for the first week, made up a shopping list based on the diet, got what I needed to do the first week, and then started the next morning and didn't look back. I lost ten pounds in three weeks and have been able to keep it off by using the maintenance diet section of the book. Now I'm ready to lose more so am going back to one of the diet phases. Highly recommend!
Book Review: Great motivator and great start! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this book for the sole reason of using it to jump start my new diet. As an attorney, I find it hard to work out every day, go to work, eat, drink, sleep, etc. Week 1 was hard, but when I saw that I lost 7 lbs the first week, I was happy. By Week 3, I had lost 20 lbs and that's when I started moving away from the book and just did exactly what the overall point of the book was: portion control and eat every 2-3 hrs. After nine weeks, I have lost 29 lbs! I cheat a little bit on the weekends, but this book really did jump-start my diet.
A little confession: I did not work out at all. It's too difficult with my schedule, but the weight still came off.
Book Review: Easy to follow... Summary: 5 Stars
This book is extremely simple to follow. It plainly lays out a simple meal plan for the first three weeks along with associated exercise requirements. The first week's food is sparse to start, but it gets easier as you go along. The exercise requirements are fairly high (normally about an hour a day), but if you are trying to lose weight this is the correct approach.
You'll be a bit hungry in the first week, but it gets easier with each day that passes. I'm 1 week in and have lost 5-6 pounds.
Buy this book if you really want to lose weight. If you're interested in a scientific or long-winded discourse, buy another book.
Book Review: Exercise alone is not enough! Summary: 5 Stars
Following the diet plan I was able to lose 4 pounds the first week and 2-3 each week that followed. I had been exercising alone without diet since January 07, 4-5 days per week 1-2 hours a days of strenuous aerobic and anaerobic exercise at the gym. Although I had built great endurance and was becoming stronger and building muscle, I wasn't getting the weight loss results that I had hoped because I wasn't eating right. This book was easy to follow and didn't ask you to eat or buy any unusual food. After following the plan, you are introduced back to some of the foods that you really enjoy with a new awareness of portion control. I'm a believer!
