Book Reviews of Exploring the World of Lucid DreamingBook Review: Want to learn to lucid dream? This is the book. Summary: 5 Stars
This is THE book on lucid dreaming. It is a manual of how to lucid dream containing every main technique with clear instructions including a detailed description of the technique that the author used to learn to become lucid in his dreams at will. It is also filled with descriptions of the lucid dreaming experiences of many other people. Dr. Laberge is a rigorous scientist and you will not find any irresponsible conclusions about the the topic or pseudo-science. After becoming interested in lucid dreaming, I scoured the net and read everything about the topic that I could find, but after 6 months I had no success. However this is the book that got me going in the right direction and now I am having lucid dreams regularly. If you get one book on lucid dreaming, this is the one. His earlier book, called Lucid Dreaming, is also very good if you want a more detailed description of the history of lucid dreaming or discussion and philosophy of lucid dreaming. In short, the book 'Lucid Dreaming' provides lots of background and 'Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming' is the "How to" manual.
Book Review: Amazing guide to the world of lucid dreaming Summary: 5 Stars
This book is written by the pioneer of modern lucid dream scholorship. Unfortunately, it is often found in the "New Age" section of bookstores, and this is misleading. It is a scientific book written about an entirely practicable and enlightening area of human consciousness. If you have ever had a dream in which you realized you were dreaming (most people have at least once), you will be delighted to know that you can learn to have this experience at will.
The book gives a good overview of how dreaming works. It provides a number of techniques for lucid dream induction, prolongation, and activities to try once the lucid state has been achieved.
In practice, it is much more difficult to actually perform the exercises recommended by LaBerge, but this does not detract from the usefulness of the book. Lucid dreaming is a hard-earned skill, but the rewards are worth the effort many times over.
This is a one-stop resource for anyone interested in practicing lucid dreaming. Highly recommended.
Book Review: best book on lucid dream/obe/awareness on the market. Summary: 5 Stars
I have to admit this is the best book for the price on the market with scientific proof and probability of occurences for lucid dreaming. I have been trying months to have out of body experiences/partial dream ones and/or lucid dreaming and have to admit this book is very detailed explained and I have accomplished it with this book which many other books failed. I have looked at other books on awareness exercises, this one even talks about it in depth more and not to mention the WILD/MILD techniques are worth the price alone cause I had a lucid experience with those tehchniques atleast once every second day after reading their FAQ, I had to buy the book to support this author and found out there are many more treasures/techniques in this book which I can't wait to try out. This is my second best book on the market I will cherish and come back to many times, the other one is power of the subconscious mind by murphy, two of my favorite psychology books.
Book Review: Easily the best book on Lucid Dreaming. Summary: 5 Stars
First, I must state that I want to give this book more around 4 1/2 stars, but I mine as well round up. If you are starting to become interrested in lucid dreaming, I HIGHLY recommend that you order or pick up this book. It has techniques for becoming lucid and tips for what to do when you're lucid. Along with that, the book has ways for lucid dreaming to further improve your life, beyond the aspect of just having fun. However, I wanted to give the book 4 1/2 stars for one reason and one reason only. Like other reviews that have stated this, this book totally is without the spirituality that is experienced during a lucid dream and LaBerge's theories on dreams are a solely based on Freud, which may or may not be a good thing, depending how you look at it. Overall, excellent book. If you're looking into lucid dreaming, read this book. Believe me, it will be an incredibly useful tool for you.
Book Review: Perfect in Every Way Summary: 5 Stars
Lucid dreaming is the ability to control one's dreams to fly to learn new things or to just be like neo in the matrix. Steven Laberge is scientific about how he presents lucid dreaming from the how of lucid dreaming to the why such as that it happens in the rem part of sleep. I read that one reviewer thought Steven Laberge was not spiritual enough well I believe in the spiritual part of lucid dreaming but really do you want a book on ideas or something straight to the point with many techniques to begin lucid dreaming. Ive looked at other lucid dreaming books and most put a new spin on what this book has. If you want to lucid dream which with this book I was able to and it is as cool as they say it really is like real life you can see yourself and its so real this is the book for you.
