Book Review: Stunning. A Glossy tribute to the late, great Eva Peron!

Extraordinary and hauntingly beautiful! These words which can easily describe Eva Peron herself can also be used to describe this book. The full page photographs are stunning and show every aspect of Eva Peron's life. Her physical transformation and her larger than life story are cleary displayed within it's pages. The book offers a brief biography but who wants to read when you can look at excellent, never before seen photographs of the former Argentine First Lady in all the slendour of her beauty. It is a shame that books like this are hard to come by and I was unable to find a copy here in Canada. The handsome black and white photographs more than make up for the high cost of the book. This pictorial biography on Evita is one of the best, by far. Perhaps other books give more detailed factual information about the life of Evita, but this book gives you the best "feel" for exactly how much Evita was loved (or hated) by the people of Argentina. The pictures from her funeral say it all...the many thousands of Argentine citizens lining up for days, just for the chance to get a glimpse of her body lying in state. If you believe that "a picture paints a thousand words", and are interested in the life of Evita Peron, then this is the Evita bio for you!Book Review: Must Have Book

They say a picture says a thousand words. In this case, the picture says a million. These hauntingly beautiful photos show the rise of Eva Duarte from outback country girl, to a sophisticated First Lady of Argentina. Page after page, these photos tell the sorry, pain and joy endured by Eva Peron. This is definitely a must for anyone who is even vaugely familiar with Eva Peron. I hope that the writers plan on bringing out a second book with more photos as wonderful as this one.

If you are interested in Evita Peron you'll enjoy this collection of photographs. There's Evita when she was a little girl, there she is after she married Peron and the two moved into Casa Rosada. I especially enjoyed the pictures of her at home, while getting her hair done and leaving to go to work. Fabulous album that lets you into the life of this fascinating woman.Book Review: AMAZING !

This book is really the most beautifull and serious book on Eva Duarte de Perón. I have all the Evita's book and this is the best.Amazing photographs and a brief but interesting text. The first photographic biography of this controvertial woman. EXCELLENT.
