Book Review: Tries hard but ultimately a let down

I purchased this book wanting a reference for some help - since the game is primarily learn as you go. The book has a lot of information for the very, very beginner player but quickly runs out of any real kind of help. After about 2 hours the book is completely played out. There really isn't any serious help for experienced players. If you have never played this type of game before it could be a help in the beginning with setting up characters and basic quests. Be warned however, the book stops with any direct help after the first few quests - and the games moves quickly at first so that's usually an hour or two. As for any other type of reference help? There aren't any helpful maps that aren't in the instructions already. They don't even include a larger map of the continent showing where the various cities are in relationship to each other. The spell and abilities lists are woefully incomplete - and they don't even accurately describe some of the spells.
Overall, if you're completely new to this type of game it could be of some help but if your not there's nothing it can help you with.
