I had always wanted to learn to speak Italian and decided to finally start learning with the Rosetta Stone program. While Rosetta Stone itself is wonderful and very easy to understand, I feel that Ms. Ragusa's concise book on Italian grammar complements the program very well. This book has definitely helped me grasp concepts quicker than I would have with Rosetta Stone alone. The book is priced next to nothing, so there is no reason to not pick it up. You'll be glad you did.Book Review: classic

Olga: I have the 1962 version and it's been back and forth to Italy with me numerous times. It's the clearest most brief summary i have seen. The short 100 page small format book is a natural for those who like to pack light. Take it on the plane and refresh your memory on major verbs, key tenses, agreement patterns, whatever you need to review. This compact book holds a complete outline of Italian grammar. It was the ideal thing to tuck into my suitcase last month when I led a tour of Florence and Tuscany. It's perfect for those who have studied Italian and don't need vocabulary, but who sometimes forget things like how to use the conditional tense or the proper way to form a comparison. In the event that you do need help with grammar, this book will help you all the way through. This book helped me clarify things I did not understand in other books. It is simple and will teach you basic Italian. I'm able to express myself in simple short sentences thanks to this book. It is a must have for ANY student of the Italian language.
