Book Reviews of Essential ActionScript 3.0 (Essential)Book Review: Not much to say - it's the Colin Moock book. Summary: 5 Stars
Great book, well explained, very complete on all topics... in my opinion a must for all flash-developers. Even if there might be chapters you might want to jump as an experienced professional, this book is the perfect reference to sit on your desk and help you out when you don't know or don't recall some issue or maybe want to know the most accurate form of doing something.
Book Review: Ultimate resource Summary: 5 Stars
If you have any concerns about how difficult will be to advance from AS 2.0 to AS 3.0, this book will get you to the right path. The well known AS expert Colin Moock write this book for everyone, either you are advanced user or beginner. Clear examples and explanations. I think that this book is ultimate resource for AS 3.0, much better that even original documentation.
Book Review: Explanations for every aspect of Actionscript 3 Summary: 5 Stars
Even for someone who has been using Flash since version 1, AS3 is extremely difficult to learn. It's drastically different from AS2 and most authors do not fully explain basic concepts the way Colin Moock does. This book is very long but covers everything in great detail. I don't know If I could have continued using Flash in my career if not for this book.
Book Review: As good as a programming book can get Summary: 5 Stars
As a web developer/programmer who actually loves what he does, I often try to pick up and learn new things. I already knew AS2 when I bought this book last year, and it made the transition to AS3 a breeze. As with all programming books, it is IMPOSSIBLE to be perfect, but this is about as quality as you can get, great examples, great explanations.
Book Review: Essential Book Summary: 5 Stars
Now that Adobe has taken Flash actionscript development out of the dark ages into the 21st century we all need some careful explanation of the details of the new language. Moock has done that well with this new book (which is twice as large as his old book for AS2 of the same title). I highly recommend this book to fellow developers out there.
