I am very interested in the history of sex. That is one course I'd like to teach after I get my PhD. This book just took me back a little further into sexual history. I was surprised at how old some sexual terms and parts of the body are. I was also surprised with certain actions the characters performed. Today, many of these sexual acts are fully accepted. However, I would have figured the Victorians would have been uptight even in sex. A major misconception.Finally I'm finding out one poem is even older than I thought. "This is my pistol, this is my gun. This one's for fighting, this one's for fun." I'm trying to find erotica and sexual information even older now. It'll be funny to see just how old that poem might be.
