Book Reviews of Eragon (Inheritance, Book 1)

Book Review: The Forceful Journey
Summary: 5 Stars

My book is Eragon. It's about a young boy who finds a stone in a forest called the Spine. It eventually reveals it's not a stone; it's a dragon's egg! Owning a dragon makes a lot of trouble for Eragon. It gets several people killed or hurt. He then realizes he can't live a normal life and embarks on a journey with a village storyteller, Brom. Brom teaches him to fight in sword and magic. Telling anything past this would be a spoiler, so you'll have to read it for yourself.
My favorite part of this story is when Eragon and his allies, the Varden, fight a war with the Urgals, which are human like except they're bigger. I like it because it is fast paced, full of swords and magic. This is especially true when Eragon fights a Shade, which is basically a possessed human. It's a fight between two skilled swordsmen/magic users, so it'll keep you on edge until the other is dead. This conquest over the Shade gains him the alias "Eragon Shadeslayer". That is why it is my favorite part.

I was quite surprised to find out that "Eragon" was written by a fifteen-year old because Paolini's work definitely rivals that of J.K. Rowling or Anne McCaffrey.

"Eragon" starts off with a bang (literally) as a young lad named Eragon is hunting in the woods when a shiny blue stone appears in front of him. He keeps it, hoping to sell it, but it hatches into a sapphire-blue dragon. Eragon bonds with the dragon and it quickly becomes his best friend. After talking to his storyteller friend Brom, Eragon names the dragon Saphira.

Saphira quickly grows and, after the Ra'zac destroy his uncle Garrow's house (killing Garrow), agrees to help Eragon kill the Ra'zac.

As Eragon progresses, he gains new friends and new experiences. There are many surprises in store for him. If you want to know what they are, read the book.

Overall: The debut book from an author that won't be leaving the fantasy scene any time soon. A double infinity/100.

Book Review: OH GIVE ME A BREAK!
Summary: 5 Stars

Okay, well of course an english teacher to the rescue oh big wow go ahead flash your big words and stuff in peoples faces. First of all ERAGON is the best book i have ever read (unlike the Harry Potter books, completly overrated) I mean really i havent been so into a book since "The Catcher in the Rye." Seriously english teacher IN HIGH SCHOOL duh she or he is not going to like it of course they have read this, and they have read that, FIGURES. I never in my life have seen such a scene. Putting down a book just because the guy is 17 or was 17. Bet you wouldn't think so if you didnt know that. Leave it to the people with the scholorship.

I COMPLETLY AGREE TO THOSE WHO THINK ERAGON IS THE GREATEST I AM SOMEONE WHO READS TOO MUCH AS SO I HAVE HEARD AND THOSE OTHER BOOKS STATED I SAY BOO! I DIDN'T LIKE THEM AND I KNOW GREAT QUALITY WHEN I SEE IT. I SAY BUY THE BOOK AND YOU'LL SEE FOR YOURSELF WHAT A GREAT ADVENTURE IT IS.

O AND HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Book Review: It's wrong that you think bad about Eragon (read this it might help)
Summary: 5 Stars

Yes, maybe it is sort of like Lord of the Rings or Star wars, but (my opinion) Eragon was soooo much better. I'm not going to bother and go into detail about the book because others already have. Instead what I'll say is that you people don't have any respect for Paolini.

I don't see u trying to write a book of 500 pages!
About the too much info. in 1 book: What? You would prefer 10 little copies instead of a big book?
About the copying: As I already stated, it is a bit copied, but definitely not the same! Its well...A lot DIFFERENT in MANY, MANY ways if you haven't noticed because you were too busy paying attention to how it is the same!!

I was shocked how people underestimated him!I really recommend reading Eragon and Eldest they were both full of excitement. Mostly in Eldest when Murthegul reviles a secret about Eragon.

Good luck Paolini with the 3rd book!

Book Review: A Legacy Has Been BORN
Summary: 5 Stars

In Eragon, the first of three in the Inheritance Trilogy, by Christopher Paolini, a young, unsuspecting farm boy by the name of Eragon meets his destiny on a hunting trip. A blue stone, which appears in the Spine, a supposedly cursed mountain range, where Eragon is hunting, and little does he know it but this stone will change his life forever. After this moment Eragon is destined to be the first of a new generation of riders.
Christopher Paolini does a great job at mixing the era of middle earth into his own stunning new novel that will grasp the reader's attention from the start! Creating your own world, characters, and language isn't easy, but if this young author does as good a job he does in Eragon in the rest of the trilogy his name may possibly be remembered as well as J.R.R Tolkein and J.K Rowling.
Eragon is a book about family, heroes, and is a legacy waiting to unfold right before your eyes.
