Book Reviews of Enemies Foreign and Domestic

Book Review: Keep your heart medication handy when you read this..!
Summary: 5 Stars

This review is preliminary.. that means i will come back and finish it and make it more readable..!
I'm not so good at writing, typing and as a small claims judge once told me "you know all the words but you don't string them together well" (i won that case anyway!)..
so, here are some unwell strung words:
This book raised my heart rate from its usual 65 to well over 90 and BP from 110 over 65 to 135 over 90..!
It IS that good..
AND, my next move is to change my real name to a nom-de-plume..
why..?
read the book..
If what Bracken described while writing this and publishing it in 2003 is NOT NOW occuring, the politics sure are looking in that direction..

Wake up America before your liberty is only a distant memory..

Book Review: Get This Book! Must Read for all Citizens!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is one of those books that stands alone among books. There is a blatantly obvious underlying theme that is powerful and frightening. Many elements covered in this book are happening today!

The story is excellent, griping and for the first time in years, I did an all nighter (on a work night, no less) as I could not put it down!!!

However, it is the theme of the book that is important. It is easy, as a person who believes to his core in the God given rights to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness, for current events to drag one down. This book was uplifting, and a powerful reminder of how brilliant the founding fathers truly were, and again, God forbid if it were to come down to it, why they felt citizens have the right to keep and bear arms.

Book Review: Fantastic Novel!
Summary: 5 Stars

I'm about two thirds of the way through this book, and I have to say it is the best thriller I have ever read! It's like a Baldacci book only better, in that the Federal government isn't idolized but rather treated very realistically. Finally, a book accurately depicting the government that committed Ruby Ridge and Waco. Although I love liberty and am aghast at what our central government has turned into, I find it amazing that a book like this is also such a good story and such a good read. I have to force myself to pace my reading so it lasts more than a couple of days, yet I can hardly put it down.

If you like thrillers like Saving Faith (Baldacci), The Hunt for Red October (Clancy), you will love this book, although be aware there is no government worship in it.

Book Review: Prophetic
Summary: 5 Stars

I went into this book thinking that it would be a very prescience book but was worried that it would be poorly written and out there. I was surprised to find a very intelligent book that was well researched and written. Mr. Bracken takes us to a future that is too possible and shows us what it will be like. The characters are believable and well developed. You care what happens to them in the end which is a hallmark to a good read. Lets just hope that the government reads this book as a cautionary tale and learns a lesson before they trash our second amendment rights. Some people take the sacred honor our forefathers bestowed on us seriously. this is a must read for any American that takes his freedom and his country seriously. I can't wait to start volume two of the trilogy.

Book Review: Don't miss this one, Patriots
Summary: 5 Stars

This book stirs up my incipient paranoia (actually not paranoia because it's a justifiable fear)about the continuing erosion of the Bill of Rights, and especially the fragility of the 2nd Amendment under the unceasing attacks by the Left. If you've ever wondered what could happen if unprincipled individuals were given a green light to usurp the Constitution and send the country careening into anarchy, this will be a real eye-opener. The most disappointing part of the book was that it ended. It's the kind of tale that you hope will go on and on, and when you finish it you may fall into a sort of post lectito depression. But fear not - Mr. Bracken is hard at work on a sequel, Domestic Enemies, which will carry to story forward with more heart-pounding action, I'm sure.
