I enjoyed reading these books as a boy and my son's like them as well. They are a bit dated, but the kids don't seem to notice it. "Put a quarter down on the gas can." Kids today are a bit brighter and more worldly than we were back in the day. My 9 year old son had legal questions with jumping to conclusions, probable cause and illegally obtaining evidence done by Enclyopedia Brown, but for an easy read, starter, chapter, kids mystery these are good.Book Review: love the product but it arrived too late

I love the Encyclopedia Brown books for my son, but I ordered this product hoping it would arrive around (if not before) Christmas.... I ended up buying the set at a book store on Christmas Eve...the one I ordered arrived Jan 13th. i will give it as a gift to another child.
