Gilbert's book is shockingly beautiful - both in the description of the places that she travels to and it's ability to take the reader to an entirely new level of soul searching. Gilbert's words are real - not the pedantic, all too often seen "lesson on how to be better," - but rather an affirmation that even at our worst, we are capable of grabing hold of our own lives and making them everything that they aught to be.
